DESCRIPTION
· The 74HC595 is an 8-bit, serial-in, parallel-out shift register with an 8-bit D-type latch featuring parallel 3-state outputs.
· It includes separate clocks for the shift register and latch, a direct overriding clear input, serial input, and serial outputs for cascading.
· The device also features an asynchronous reset for the shift register.
