DESCRIPTION

· The Atmel ATA6836 is a hex half-bridge driver designed in Smart Power SOI technology for automotive and industrial applications.

· It controls up to six different loads via a microcontroller.

· Each of the six high-side and six low-side drivers can handle currents up to 650mA.

· The drivers form six half-bridges and are controlled via a standard serial data interface.

· It supports various loads including bulbs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and DC motors.

· The IC provides protection against short-circuit, overtemperature, and undervoltage conditions.

· It features various diagnostic functions and a low quiescent current in standby mode.

· It is qualified for automotive applications with EMC and ESD protection.
