DESCRIPTION

· The DRV421 is an integrated magnetic fluxgate sensor designed for closed-loop current sensing solutions, enabling precise DC and AC current measurements.

· It includes a proprietary fluxgate sensor and analog signal conditioning, reducing component count and cost.

· The device features a low offset and drift fluxgate sensor with an optimized front-end circuit for high measurement precision.

· It includes a 250-mA H-Bridge for driving the compensation coil, extending the current measurement range.

· The DRV421 also provides a precision voltage reference and shunt sense amplifier for generating and driving the analog output signal.



FEATURES

· High-Precision Integrated Fluxgate Sensor: ±8µT max offset, ±5nT/°C typical drift.

· Extended Current Measurement Range: ±250mA typical at 5V H-Bridge output drive.

· Precision Shunt Sense Amplifier: ±75µV max offset, ±2µV/°C max drift, ±0.3% max gain error, ±5ppm/°C max gain drift.

· Precision Reference: ±2% max accuracy, ±50ppm/°C max drift, pin-selectable 2.5V or 1.65V, selectable ratiometric mode VDD/2.

· Magnetic Core Degaussing Feature.

· Diagnostic Features: Overrange and Error Flags.

· Supply Voltage Range: 3.0V to 5.5V.

· Fully Specified Over -40°C to +125°C Industrial Temperature Range.
