DESCRIPTION

· The DS1339 is a low-power serial real-time clock (RTC) with two programmable time-of-day alarms and a programmable square-wave output.

· It communicates via an I2C bus and provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information.

· Automatically adjusts for months with fewer than 31 days and leap years.

· Operates in 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator.

· Features a built-in power-sense circuit for automatic backup supply switching during power failures.
