DESCRIPTION

· The LM78xx series is a monolithic integrated circuit designed for fixed positive voltage regulation.
· It complements the LM78xx series in various applications, including on-card regulation to eliminate noise and distribution issues.
· Capable of delivering up to 1.5A of output current, these regulators feature internal limiting and thermal shutdown for overload protection.
· They can also be used with external components for adjustable output voltages and currents, or as power pass elements in precision regulators.
