DESCRIPTION

· The LMC567 is a low-power LMCMOS™ tone decoder, functionally similar to the LM567.

· It features a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and quadrature dividers for phase and amplitude detection.

· The device forms a phase-locked loop (PLL) that locks to input frequencies within the VCO's control range.

· Activates a ground switch on the output pin when the PLL is locked and the input signal exceeds a preset threshold.

FEATURES

· Operates on a supply voltage range of 2V to 9V with low current drain.

· Capable of handling input frequencies up to 500 kHz with high oscillator stability.

· Includes a ground-referenced input and hysteresis in the amplitude comparator.

· Rejects out-of-band signals and noise, with a 20 mA output current capability.
