· The LX1562 is a second-generation power factor correction controller optimized for electronic ballast applications.

· It operates in discontinuous mode and includes an internal start-up circuit, current sense blanking, and output drive clamps.

· The device features internal logic to detect zero crossing of inductor current, maintaining discontinuous mode and enhancing power factor correction.

· Clamped error amplifier and multiplier outputs for lower turn-on overshoot.
