DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC597 is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit PIPO shift register using silicon gate C2MOS technology.
· It features an 8-bit storage latch feeding a parallel-in, serial-out 8-bit shift register.
· Both registers are clocked by positive edge-triggered clocks.
· Includes direct load and clear inputs, with all inputs protected against static discharge and transient excess voltage.
· Available in 16-pin DIP, SOP, and TSSOP packages.
