DESCRIPTION

· The MP3802 is a high output voltage DC to AC converter designed for driving Electroluminescent (EL) lamps up to 5 square inches.
· It operates from an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, suitable for 1-cell Li-Ion and 2 or 3-cell alkaline/NiCad/NiMH battery applications.
· The device uses a single inductor and minimal passive components to convert low-voltage DC input to a ±120V regulated output.
· It consists of two stages: a boost stage and an H-bridge lamp driver stage, each with independently set oscillator frequencies via external resistors.
· The MP3802 is available in an 8-pin MSOP package.
