· The SPCM-AQRH Single Photon Counting Module by Excelitas Technologies detects single photons within a wavelength range of 400nm to 1060nm, offering superior performance over other solid-state or vacuum-tube based photon counters.

· It utilizes a unique silicon avalanche photodiode with a circular active area, achieving over 70% peak photon detection efficiency at 650nm across a 180µm diameter.

· The module generates a TTL-level pulse for each detected photon, available at the rear BNC connector, requiring a 50 Ω termination.

· Equipped with thermoelectric cooling and temperature control, it ensures stable performance across an operating temperature range of 5˚C to 70˚C.

· Recent electronic improvements have reduced the minimum dead time to less than 25 ns, enhancing linearity and dynamic range, and significantly improving timing resolution.

· Includes internal protection circuitry to safeguard against damage from accidental overload due to ambient lighting.

· Fully compliant with the European Union’s RoHS Directive 2015/863/EU.
