DESCRIPTION

· The SPCM-AQRH Single Photon Counting Module by Excelitas Technologies detects single photons within a wavelength range of 400nm to 1060nm, outperforming other solid-state or vacuum-tube based photon counters.

· It features a unique silicon avalanche photodiode with a circular active area, achieving over 70% peak photon detection efficiency at 650nm across a 180µm diameter.

· The module generates a TTL-level pulse for each detected photon, available at the BNC connector, and requires a 50 Ω termination.

· It includes thermoelectric cooling and temperature control for stable performance across an operating temperature range of 5˚C to 70˚C.

· Recent improvements have reduced the minimum dead time to less than 25 ns, enhancing linearity and dynamic range.

· The module is equipped with internal protection circuitry to prevent damage from accidental overload due to ambient lighting.

· It is fully compliant with the European Union’s RoHS Directive 2015/863/EU.
