Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The T6817 is a fully protected driver interface designed in 0.8-µm BCDMOS technology.

· It controls up to 6 different loads via a microcontroller in automotive and industrial applications.

· Features 3 high-side and 3 low-side drivers, each capable of driving up to 600 mA.

· Drivers are configurable and controlled via a standard serial data interface.

· Supports H-bridge applications for DC motors.

· Offers protection against short-circuit, overtemperature, under- and overvoltage.

· Includes various diagnosis functions and has a very low quiescent current in standby mode.

· Meets automotive qualifications for conducted interferences, EMC protection, and 2 kV ESD protection.



FEATURES

· Three high-side and three low-side drivers with outputs configurable as switch, half bridge, or H-bridge.

· Capable of switching various loads including DC motors, bulbs, resistors, capacitors, and inductors.

· 0.6 A continuous current per switch.

· Low-side RDSon < 1.5 Ω; High-side RDSon < 2.0 Ω across the total temperature range.

· Very low quiescent current IS < 20 µA in standby mode.

· Outputs are short-circuit protected.

· Overtemperature prewarning and protection.

· Undervoltage and overvoltage protection.

· Various diagnosis functions including shorted output, open load, overtemperature, and power supply fail.

· Serial data interface and daisy chaining possible.

· SSO20 package.
