DESCRIPTION

· The TFDU6300 is an infrared transceiver module compliant with the latest IrDA physical layer low-power standard, supporting data rates up to 4 Mbit/s (FIR), HP-SIR, Sharp ASK, and carrier-based remote control modes up to 2 MHz.

· It integrates a photo PIN diode, an infrared emitter (IRED), and a low-power control IC, providing a complete front-end solution in a single package.

· Designed in a compact package using BabyFace technology, it requires minimal external components, with only a VCC bypass capacitor needed for operation.

· Features a tri-state output and floats in shutdown mode with a weak pull-up.

FEATURES

· Compliant with IrDA specifications, supporting up to 4 Mbit/s with a low-power range of >70 cm (typically 1 m) and TV remote control (>9 m).

· Operates from 2.4 V to 3.6 V with low power consumption (1.8 mA typical supply current).

· Includes a power shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 0.01 μA.

· Compact surface-mount package (L 8.5 mm x H 2.5 mm x W 3.1 mm) suitable for side and top view orientation.

· Directly interfaces with various super I/O and controller devices, requiring only one external component.

· Split power supply allows transmitter and receiver to operate from two separate power supplies, reducing costs.

· Qualified for lead-free and Sn/Pb processing (MSL4).
