Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The TFSS Series is a thick film surface mount resistor designed for surge protection applications.
· It features a non-inductive design with a resistive element made of thick film technology.
· The termination is wraparound on 5 sides, encapsulated with an overglaze coating.
· Resistance values range from 100Ω to 10KΩ with tolerances of ±1%, ±2%, ±5%, and ±10%.
· Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +155°C with a temperature coefficient of ±100 ppm/°C.
· The substrate material is 96% alumina with a conductor of PdAg and a resistor of RuO2, coated with glass.



FEATURES

· Excellent for medical surge protection applications.
· Capable of handling momentary overloads up to 5 times rated power for 1 second or 2 times rated power for 5 seconds.
· Energy ratings are based on single pulses with at least 1 minute between pulses.
· Custom dimensions, values, tolerances, and characteristics are available.
· Damage from excessive pulse loading is indicated by an increase in resistance.

· Ideal for power supply conversion, electron microscopes, and X-ray systems.
· Suitable for high-resolution CRT displays and defibrillators.
