DESCRIPTION

· The TP3404 is a 4-line transceiver designed for voice and data transmission on twisted pair subscriber loops, typically used in PBX line card applications.

· It operates as an ISDN "U" Interface for short loop applications, facilitating full-duplex transmission at 144 kb/s on a single twisted wire pair using burst-mode technique.

· The device includes a time-slot assignment circuit for interfacing with the system backplane and supports Alternate Mark Inversion (AMI) line coding for lower error rates and reduced EMI radiation.
