DESCRIPTION

· The AD9571 is a multi-output clock generator with a dedicated PLL core optimized for Ethernet line card applications.

· It features an integer-N PLL design based on Analog Devices' high-performance, low-jitter frequency synthesizers.

· The PLL includes a low-noise phase frequency detector, precision charge pump, low-phase-noise VCO, and pre-programmed feedback and output dividers.

· It supports frequencies up to 156.25 MHz with an external crystal or reference clock.

· The device is available in a 40-lead 6 mm × 6 mm LFCSP package and operates from a single 3.3 V supply.

FEATURES

· Fully integrated VCO/PLL core with 0.17 ps rms jitter at 156.25 MHz and 0.41 ps rms jitter at 125 MHz.

· Supports input crystal or clock frequency of 25 MHz with preset divide ratios for 156.25 MHz, 33.33 MHz, 100 MHz, and 125 MHz.

· Offers LVPECL or LVDS output formats with integrated loop filter.

· Provides 6 copies of reference clock output and configurable rates via strapping pins.

· Low power dissipation: 0.48 W (LVDS) and 0.69 W (LVPECL).
