DESCRIPTION

· The HSDL-3208 is an ultra-small, low-cost infrared transceiver module that interfaces logic and infrared signals for serial, half-duplex IR data links. It complies with IrDA Physical Layer Specifications version 1.4, supporting data rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 115.2 kbit/s with extended link distance. The module is IEC 825-Class 1 eye safe and features a Low Tx Power Mode. It can be completely shut down to achieve very low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-operated handheld products.
