DESCRIPTION

· The LTC4381 is a low quiescent current eFuse with surge protection, featuring an internal 9mΩ N-Channel MOSFET.

· It provides overvoltage protection by clamping the gate voltage of the MOSFET to limit output voltage during events like automotive load dump.

· The MOSFET's safe operating area is production tested for high voltage transients.

· It offers selectable fixed output clamp voltages for 12V and 24V/28V systems, with adjustable versions for systems up to 80V.

· Overcurrent protection is included, with a TMR pin current proportional to V_DS and I_D to limit operating time during overcurrent and overvoltage conditions.

· The GATE pin can drive back-to-back MOSFETs for reverse input protection, eliminating the need for a Schottky diode.

· With a low 6µA operating current, it is suitable for always-on and battery-powered applications.
