DESCRIPTION

· The LTC6995 is a programmable silicon oscillator with a period range from 1.024 ms to 9.54 hours, designed for long-duration timing events.

· It is part of the TimerBlox family, featuring a master oscillator frequency set by a single resistor, RSET, and an internal frequency divider, NDIV, which can be programmed to eight settings.

· The device generates a 50% duty cycle square wave and includes a reset function to stop the oscillator and clear dividers, useful for power-on reset and watchdog timer applications.

FEATURES

· Programmable period range from 1ms to 9.5 hours.

· Configurable with 1 to 3 resistors, offering less than 1.5% maximum frequency error.

· Operates on a single supply from 2.25 V to 5.5V with a supply current of 55µA to 80µA.

· Features a 500µs start-up time and a CMOS output driver capable of sourcing/sinking 20mA.
