DESCRIPTION

· The Si2456 is a fully ITU-V.90-compliant 56 kbps modem chipset with an integrated direct access arrangement (DAA) for global telephone line requirements.

· It eliminates the need for a separate DSP data pump, external RAM and ROM, modem controller, codec, isolation transformer, relays, and opto-isolators.

· Available in two compact packages, it is ideal for embedded modem applications due to its small footprint, low power consumption, and global compliance.

· The Si2433 and Si2414 offer similar features with maximum connect rates of 33.6 kbps and 14.4 kbps, respectively.

· Supports ITU-T and Bell data modem formats, ranging from 300 bps to 56 kbps.

· Includes V.42, V.42bis, and MNP2-5 error correction and data compression protocols.
