Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The 74AHCT594 is a high-speed CMOS 8-bit shift register with an 8-bit output register, compatible with 74LS low power Schottky types.
· It features serial data input (DS) and shift register clock (SHCP) for data entry on each positive clock transition.
· Includes shift register reset (SHR) and storage register reset (STR) functions, both active low and clock-independent.
· Data is transferred to the output register via the storage register clock (STCP), with cascading capability through Q7S.
· Outputs are updated on the falling edge of the clock, with the shift register always one cycle ahead if clocks are connected.



FEATURES

· Operates with a supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V.
· Capable of sinking or sourcing 8mA at 4.5V.
· Low power consumption typical of CMOS technology.
· All inputs feature Schmitt trigger action and can accept up to 6.0V.
· Robust ESD protection exceeding JESD 22 standards.
· Latch-up performance exceeds 250mA per JESD 78, Class II.
· Fully RoHS compliant, lead-free, and free of halogens and antimony.
