DESCRIPTION

· The 74HC597; 74HCT597 is an 8-bit shift register with input flip-flops.

· It features an 8-bit storage register feeding a parallel-in, serial-out 8-bit shift register.

· Both registers are triggered by positive edge clocks.

· Includes direct load and clear inputs for the shift register.

· Inputs have clamp diodes for interfacing with voltages above VCC using current limiting resistors.
