DESCRIPTION

· The 74HCT9046A is a PLL device with a band gap controlled VCO, designed for interfacing with TTL logic levels.

· It features reduced input threshold levels and includes clamp diodes for interfacing with voltages exceeding VCC.

FEATURES

· Operates within a power supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V with low power consumption.

· Complies with JEDEC standard no. 7A and includes an inhibit control for ON/OFF keying.

· Offers a center frequency up to 17 MHz at VCC = 5.5 V with a tolerance of ±10%.

· Includes two phase comparators: PC1 (EXCLUSIVE-OR) and PC2 (Edge-triggered JK flip-flop) with no dead zone.

· Features a charge pump output on PC2, excellent VCO linearity, and low frequency drift with supply voltage and temperature variations.

· Provides ESD protection exceeding 2000 V (HBM) and 200 V (MM).
