DESCRIPTION

· The AD8317 is a demodulating logarithmic amplifier that converts RF signals to a decibel-scaled output. It operates from 1 MHz to 10 GHz with a dynamic range of 55 dB and maintains accurate log conformance up to 8 GHz. It features a fast response time of 6 ns/10 ns and is suitable for both measurement and controller modes. The device requires a supply voltage of 3.0 V to 5.5 V and consumes 22 mA typically. It is fabricated using a high-speed SiGe process and comes in a compact 2 mm × 3 mm LFCSP package.
