Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The LM73 is a digital-output temperature sensor with a two-wire interface compatible with SMBus and I2C.

· It features an incremental Delta-Sigma ADC and operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 150°C.

· The sensor offers programmable digital temperature resolution from 11 to 14 bits and has a fast conversion rate.

· It is available in a 6-pin SOT package, occupying minimal board space.



FEATURES

· Single address pin offers a choice of three selectable addresses per version, totaling six possible addresses.

· Supports 400-KHz operation and includes a shutdown mode with a one-shot feature for low power consumption.

· Open-drain ALERT output pin activates when temperature exceeds a programmed limit.

· Provides a very stable, low-noise digital output and is UL recognized.

· Key specifications include a supply current of 320µA (typical) and temperature accuracy of ±1.0°C from -10°C to 80°C.
