DESCRIPTION



· The LMH6525/6526 is a laser diode driver designed for combination DVD/CD recordable and rewritable systems.
· It features two high-current outputs for reading and writing DVDs (650nm) and CDs (780nm).
· The device includes four separate switched current channels for read, write, and erase functions.
· Channel currents are summed at the selected output to generate multilevel waveforms for optical disc operations.
· The LVDS interface supports DVD write speeds of 16x and higher, minimizing noise and crosstalk.
· Optimized for speed and power consumption, it meets the demands of next-generation systems.
· It offers a 150mA read channel, one 300mA, and two 150mA write channels, allowing a total output current of 600mA or greater.
· Channel currents are set through four independent current inputs.
· Operates on a 5V single supply and is compatible with TTL and CMOS logic inputs.
· Comes in a space-saving OFN package.



FEATURES



· LMH6525 has differential enable oscillator inputs; LMH6526 has single-ended enable oscillator inputs.
· Fast switching with rise and fall times of 0.6/1.0 ns.
· Low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) channels enable interface for fast switching lines.
· Low output current noise: 0.24nA/√Hz.
· Dual output selectable by SELA/B pin (active high).
· Four independent current channels with gains of 300, 300mA write channel, and 150, 150mA low-noise read channel.
· Two gain of 150, 150mA write channels with a minimum combined output current of 600mA.
· Integrated AC-coupled HFM oscillator with selectable frequency and amplitude setting by external resistors.
· Frequency range from 200MHz to 600MHz with amplitude up to 100mA peak-to-peak modulation.
· Complete shutdown by ENABLE pin.
