Applications Information
- Adjusting the Forced Turn-Off Timing: Use an external capacitor on the TMR pin to adjust the turn-off debounce time.
- Voltage Monitoring with KILL Input: The KILL pin can be used as a voltage monitor input to shut down the regulator when its output voltage drops below a certain level.
- Operation Without μP: The KILL pin can be connected to a voltage regulator output through a resistive divider or RC network.
- Enhancing VIN Ruggedness: Use a 1k resistor and a 10nF capacitor at the VIN pin to enhance ruggedness against reverse-input voltages and high voltage input transients.
- Applications with Slide Switch: Use a slide switch to prevent accidental toggling of the system power.
- Interface with Switching Regulators: The LTC2955-1 EN pin can be connected directly to most switching regulator SHUTDOWN inputs.
