DESCRIPTION

· The MAX9718/MAX9719 are differential input audio power amplifiers designed for portable audio devices with internal speakers.

· They feature a bridge-tied load (BTL) architecture for high-quality audio amplification with minimal external components.

· The MAX9718 is a single-channel amplifier, while the MAX9719 is a dual-channel amplifier for stereo systems.

· Both devices deliver 1.4W continuous average power per channel to a 4Ω load with less than 1% THD+N from a single +5V supply.

· Available with adjustable gain or internally fixed gains of 0dB, 3dB, and 6dB.

· Features a shutdown mode reducing quiescent current to less than 100nA.

· Includes click-and-pop suppression circuitry to minimize audible noise during startup and shutdown.

· Operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
