DESCRIPTION

· The MAX98357A/MAX98357B is a low-cost, digital PCM input Class D amplifier offering Class AB audio performance with Class D efficiency.
· It supports up to 35 PCM and TDM clocking schemes without requiring I2C programming or an external MCLK signal.
· The ICs are available in 9-pin WLP and 16-pin TQFN packages, operating from -40°C to +85°C.
· They support I2S (MAX98357A) and left-justified (MAX98357B) data formats, with sample rates from 8kHz to 96kHz.
· The devices feature a filterless spread-spectrum modulation scheme, reducing EMI and component count.

· Single-supply operation (2.5V to 5.5V) with 3.2W output power into 4Ω at 5V.
· Low quiescent current of 2.4mA and high efficiency of 92% at 1W output.
· Low output noise (22.8μV RMS) and THD+N (0.013%) at 1kHz.
