DESCRIPTION

· The NCP1615 is a high voltage PFC controller designed for driving PFC boost stages using the Current Controlled Frequency Foldback (CCFF) method.

· It operates in critical conduction mode (CrM) when the inductor current exceeds a programmable value and reduces frequency to about 26 kHz at sinusoidal zero-crossing.

· The device features an integrated high voltage start-up circuit, eliminating the need for external components and minimizing standby losses.

· Packaged in a SOIC-16, it supports robust and compact PFC stages with minimal external components.
