DESCRIPTION



· The OPT3002 is a light-to-digital sensor that integrates the functionality of an optical power meter in a single device, enhancing system performance over traditional photodiodes and photoresistors.

· It features a wide spectral bandwidth from 300 nm to 1000 nm and measures light intensity from 1.2 nW/cm² up to 10 mW/cm² without manual full-scale range selection.

· The sensor offers a 23-bit effective dynamic range with automatic gain ranging and includes compensation for dark-current effects and temperature variations.

· It is designed for use in optical spectral systems requiring detection of various wavelengths, such as optically-based diagnostic systems.

· The device supports low power consumption, making it suitable for battery-operated wake-up sensors in enclosed systems.

· It provides optical power readings directly through an I2C- and SMBus-compatible two-wire serial interface, with options for continuous or single-shot measurements.
