DESCRIPTION

· The PCM2906B is a single-chip stereo audio codec from Texas Instruments, featuring a USB-compliant full-speed protocol controller and S/PDIF interface.

· It utilizes SpAct™ architecture for audio clock recovery from USB packet data, enabling low jitter playback and record with independent sampling rates.

· The device includes on-chip analog PLLs and does not require software code for USB protocol control, though USB descriptors can be partially modified.

FEATURES

· Stereo DAC and ADC with high performance metrics: THD+N at 0.005% and 0.01%, SNR at 96 dB and 89 dB, and dynamic range at 93 dB and 89 dB respectively.

· On-chip USB interface compliant with USB 2.0, featuring full-speed transceivers and adaptive/asynchronous modes for playback and record.

· Includes a 16-bit Delta-Sigma ADC and DAC, on-chip clock generator, and supports sampling rates up to 48 kHz.
