DESCRIPTION

· 8-bit universal shift/storage registers with multiplexed I/O ports.
· Achieves full 8-bit data handling in a single 20-pin package.
· Features function-select (S0, S1) and output-enable (OE1, OE2) inputs for mode selection.
· Supports synchronous parallel loading by setting S0 and S1 high.
· Asynchronous clearing with the CLR input.
· Outputs can be disabled by setting OE1 or OE2 high without affecting data operations.
· SN54ALS299 operates from -55°C to 125°C; SN74ALS299 operates from 0°C to 70°C.
