DESCRIPTION

· The TPS68000 is a power supply controller designed for CCFL backlight applications, suitable for a wide range of devices including notebook computers and portable battery-powered equipment.

· It operates within an input voltage range of 8 V to 30 V, making it compatible with regulated 12-V or 24-V rails and other sources within this range.

· The device can drive the gates of all 4 NMOS switches directly, eliminating the need for additional circuitry like gate-drive transformers.

· It supports CCFL converter circuits for multi-lamp applications, either by using higher power-rated components or synchronizing multiple TPS68000 controllers.
