DESCRIPTION

· The UCC3305 integrates all functions required to control and drive one HID lamp.

· It is specifically designed for automobile headlamps with fast turn-on requirements but is also suitable for other HID lighting applications.

· HID lamps are ideal for applications benefiting from high efficiency, blue-white light color, small physical size, and long life.

· The UCC3305 includes a current mode pulse width modulator, lamp power regulator, lamp temperature compensation, and total fault protection.

FEATURES

· Regulates lamp power and compensates for lamp temperature.

· Operates at a fixed frequency with current mode control.

· Provides overcurrent protection, overvoltage shutdown, and open and short circuit protection.

· Features a high current FET drive output.
