DESCRIPTION

· The 74HC299 and 74HCT299 are high-speed Si-gate CMOS devices compatible with LSTTL.
· They include eight edge-triggered D-type flip-flops for synchronous operations like shift-right, shift-left, parallel load, and hold.
· Operations are controlled by mode select inputs S0 and S1.
· Features include 3-state buffer outputs for data inputs in parallel load mode and serial outputs for word expansion.
· A master reset input (MR) overrides other inputs to reset flip-flops.
· State changes are triggered by the rising edge of the clock pulse.
· 3-state output enable inputs (OE1, OE2) disable outputs to a high-impedance state.
