DESCRIPTION

· The KMA321/A is a single-channel magnetic angle sensor integrating magnetoresistive (MR) sensor bridges and mixed-signal IC in one package.

· It features integrated filters and is optimized for PCB-less designs, allowing user-specific adjustments of angular range, zero angle, and clamping voltages.

· The sensor is pre-programmed, pre-calibrated, and ready to use, with settings stored permanently in non-volatile memory (NVM).

FEATURES

· High precision for magnetic angular measurement with integrated filters for improved EMC.

· Automotive qualified (AEC-Q100 Rev-H) with programmable user adjustments and fail-safe NVM.

· Independent of magnetic field strength above 25 kA/m, factory calibrated, and ready to use without external components.

· Includes a separate temperature sensor and auxiliary ADC for magnetic field conversion check.

· Supports ratiometric analog output or SAE J2716 SENT-compliant push-pull output, with overvoltage protection up to 18 V.

· Features power-loss detection, one-wire interface (OWI) programming, and 8 × 12-bit OEM code registers for ID.

· ISO 26262 ASIL-C capable, multipoint calibration (MPC) with 17 equidistant or 7 free selectable points, and low latency.
