DESCRIPTION

· The KMZ80 is a single-channel magnetic angle sensor integrating magnetoresistive (MR) sensor bridges and mixed-signal IC in one package.
· Designed for PCBs requiring external filter components, it offers programmable settings for angular range, zero angle, and clamping voltages.
· Pre-programmed and pre-calibrated, it is ready for immediate use with settings stored in non-volatile memory (NVM).

FEATURES

· High-precision magnetic angular measurement with automotive qualification (AEC-Q100 Rev-H).
· Programmable adjustments for zero angle and angular range, with fail-safe NVM and write protection.
· Independent of magnetic field strength above 25 kA/m, factory calibrated, and includes a separate temperature sensor and auxiliary ADC.
· Operates in a high-temperature range up to 150°C, with ratiometric analog output or SAE J2716 SENT-compliant push-pull output.
· Features overvoltage protection up to 18 V, power-loss detection, and programming via one-wire interface (OWI).
· Includes 8 × 12-bit OEM code registers for ID, ISO 26262 ASIL-C capability, and multipoint calibration (MPC) with 17 equidistant or seven selectable points.
