DESCRIPTION

· The LP2975 is a high-current LDO regulator controller designed for simplicity and efficiency.
· It utilizes an external P-FET to deliver an ultra-low dropout regulator with minimal quiescent current.
· Features high open-loop gain for excellent regulation and ripple rejection.
· Includes a trimmed internal bandgap reference for precise output voltage across the operating temperature range.
· Dropout voltage is user-selectable based on the external FET's RDS(ON).
· Overcurrent protection is implemented via a sense resistor in series with VIN, featuring a 57mV detection threshold to minimize dropout voltage and power dissipation.
· Available in standard output voltages of 5.0V and 3.3V with specified accuracy of 1.5% for "A" grade and 2.5% for standard grade.
