DESCRIPTION

· The MC74HC4538A is a dual precision monostable multivibrator, retriggerable and resettable, compatible with standard CMOS and LSTTL outputs.

· It can be triggered by either the positive or negative edge of an input pulse, producing a precision output pulse with a width determined by external timing components R x and C x.

· The device features a reset function that forces the Q output low and the Q output high, independent of the output pulse circuitry state.

FEATURES

· Allows unlimited rise and fall times on trigger inputs.

· Output pulse width is independent of the trigger pulse width.

· Guarantees ±10% pulse width variation across parts using the same test jig.

· Capable of driving 10 LSTTL loads and directly interfaces with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL.

· Operates within a voltage range of 3.0 to 6.0 V with low input current.

· High noise immunity characteristic of CMOS devices and complies with JEDEC Standard No. 7A.
