Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The MM74HC4538 is a high-speed dual retriggerable monostable multivibrator implemented in advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology.
· It offers speeds comparable to low-power Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS's low power and high noise immunity.
· Features both negative and positive transition-triggered inputs, which can also serve as inhibit inputs.
· Includes a clear input for resetting the one-shot, and is retriggerable, allowing pulse extension during output pulse generation.
· Pulse width stability is maintained across a wide temperature and supply range using linear CMOS techniques.
· Output pulse width is determined by the equation PW = 0.7(R)(C), where PW is in seconds, R is in ohms, and C is in farads.
· Pin compatible with CD4528 and CD4538 one-shots, with all inputs protected against static discharge.



FEATURES

· Schmitt trigger on A and B inputs for improved noise immunity.
· Wide power supply range from 2V to 6V.
· Typical trigger propagation delay of 32 ns.
· Capable of driving up to 10 LS-TTL loads.
