Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The MC74HC4020A is a 14-stage binary ripple counter with high-performance silicon-gate CMOS technology.

· It features 14 master-slave flip-flops with 12 stages brought out to pins, where each flip-flop output feeds the next, halving the frequency at each subsequent output.

· Asynchronous reset is active-high, and state changes of the Q outputs do not occur simultaneously due to internal ripple delays.



FEATURES

· Output drive capability: 10 LSTTL loads.

· Outputs directly interface to CMOS, NMOS, and TTL.

· Operating voltage range: 2.0 to 6.0 V.

· Low input current: 1 μA.

· High noise immunity characteristic of CMOS devices.

· Compliant with JEDEC Standard No. 7A requirements.

· Chip complexity: 398 FETs or 99.5 equivalent gates.

· NLV prefix for automotive and other applications requiring unique site and control change requirements; AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP capable.

· Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant.
