DESCRIPTION

· The NPIC6C596 is an 8-bit serial-in/serial or parallel-out shift register with open-drain outputs.
· Features separate clocks for shift and storage registers, a serial input (DS), and a serial output (Q7S) for cascading.
· Includes an asynchronous reset MR input; a LOW on MR resets both registers.
· Data shifts on LOW-to-HIGH transitions of SHCP and transfers to storage on STCP transitions.
· Outputs are controlled by OE input; HIGH on OE sets outputs to high-impedance OFF-state.
· Designed with 33 V/100 mA EDNMOS transistors, suitable for LEDs, relays, and solenoids.

· Capable of 250 mA current limit and 33 V output clamping.
