DESCRIPTION

· The NPIC6C596-Q100 is an 8-bit serial-in/serial or parallel-out shift register with open-drain outputs, designed for automotive applications.
· It features separate clocks for shift and storage registers, a serial input (DS), and a serial output (Q7S) for cascading.
· An asynchronous reset (MR) clears both registers, and data is shifted on the LOW-to-HIGH transition of SHCP.
· The storage register updates on the LOW-to-HIGH transition of STCP, and the open-drain outputs are driven by extended-drain NMOS transistors.
· Outputs are enabled when OE is LOW and enter a high-impedance state when OE is HIGH.
· The device is qualified to AEC-Q100 (Grade 1) and is suitable for driving LEDs, relays, and solenoids.
