Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The THS7316 is a 3-channel HDTV video amplifier with 5th-order filters and 6-dB gain, fabricated using the Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) BiCom-III process.
· It operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 3-V to 5-V and is designed for low power consumption.
· The device includes integrated low-pass filters with a 5th-order 36-MHz Butterworth filter, suitable for DAC reconstruction or ADC anti-aliasing.
· It supports versatile input biasing, allowing for both DC-coupled and AC-coupled inputs, with a DC input shift of 140-mV for full sync dynamic range.
· The THS7316 features a rail-to-rail output stage, enabling both AC and DC output coupling, and can drive 2 video lines per channel or 75-Ω loads.
· It is available in a small SOIC-8 package that is RoHS compliant.



FEATURES

· 3 HDTV video amplifiers for Y'P' B P' R 720p and 1080i, G'B'R' (R'G'B'), VGA/SVGA/XGA signals.
· Integrated 5th-order 36-MHz Butterworth filter with a -1 dB passband bandwidth at 31 MHz and 30 dB attenuation at 74 MHz.
· Versatile input biasing options: DC-coupled with 140-mV input shift, AC-coupled with sync-tip clamp, and AC-coupled with biasing.
· Built-in 6-dB gain (2V/V) for enhanced signal output.
· Low total quiescent current of 18.3-mA at 3.3-V, making it suitable for power-sensitive applications.
· Low differential gain/phase of 0.1% / 0.1°, ensuring high-quality video output.
· Rail-to-rail output swings within 100 mV from the rails, supporting both AC and DC output coupling.
