DESCRIPTION

· The UC1834 family is optimized for low input-output differential linear regulators.
· Features a high gain amplifier and 200mA sink/source drive outputs for high current designs using an external pass device.
· Includes both positive and negative precision references for implementing either polarity of regulator.
· Equipped with a current sense amplifier with an adjustable low threshold for sensing and limiting currents in positive or negative supply lines.
· Contains a fault monitoring circuit for under and over-voltage conditions with a user-defined delay for transient rejection.
· Provides a fault alert output and activates a 100mA crowbar output in over-voltage cases.
· Includes an over-voltage latch to maintain the crowbar output and shutdown driver outputs.
· System control is facilitated through a single input acting as both supply reset and remote shutdown terminal.
· Protected against excessive power dissipation by an internal thermal shutdown function.
