DESCRIPTION

· The AMC6821 is an intelligent temperature monitor and PWM fan controller designed for noise-sensitive or power-sensitive applications requiring active system cooling.
· It features remote and local temperature sensors with ±2°C accuracy and 0.125°C resolution.
· The device can drive a fan, monitor remote sensor diode temperatures, and control fan speed to minimize acoustic noise.
· It offers three fan control modes: Auto Temperature-Fan mode, Software-RPM mode, and Software-DCY mode.
· The AMC6821 includes a programmable SMBALERT output for error conditions and a FAN-FAULT output for fan failure indication.
· It is available in a QSOP-16 package and is RoHS compliant.
