Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The LM96194 is a hardware monitor with a two-wire digital interface compatible with SMBus 2.0.
· It utilizes a ΣΔ ADC to measure the temperature of four remote diode-connected transistors and its own temperature.
· It monitors nine power supply voltages and incorporates new TruTherm technology for precision thermal diode measurements.
· The device supports dynamic VID monitoring and has eight general-purpose I/Os, some configurable as fan tachometer inputs or to connect to processor THERMTRIP.

FEATURES

· 2-wire Serial Digital Interface, SMBus 2.0 compliant.
· ΣΔ ADC architecture with byte/block read and write support.
· Monitors nine power supplies and four remote thermal diodes.
· New TruTherm technology for precision thermal diode measurements.
· Programmable autonomous fan control based on temperature readings.
· Includes internal ambient temperature sensing and XOR-tree test mode.
