DESCRIPTION
· The LP5521 is a three-channel LED driver designed for mobile devices, enabling a variety of lighting effects.
· It features a high-efficiency charge pump for driving LEDs across the full Li-Ion battery voltage range.
· Equipped with program memory, it can operate autonomously, saving power by not requiring processor control.
· The device automatically selects the appropriate charge pump gain based on LED forward voltage requirements and enters power-save mode when LED outputs are inactive.
· It includes three independent LED channels with precise programmable current sources and PWM control, each capable of creating desired lighting sequences.
· The LP5521 supports a flexible digital interface, trigger I/O, and a 32-kHz clock input for synchronization between multiple devices.
· It features an interrupt output to notify the processor when an LED sequence ends and allows up to four devices on a single I2C-compatible bus with four pin-selectable addresses.
· The device requires only four small, low-cost ceramic capacitors and is supported by comprehensive application tools.
