Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The MCP3903 is a six-channel Analog Front End (AFE) with three pairs of synchronous sampling Delta-Sigma ADCs, PGA, phase delay compensation, internal voltage reference, and a 10 MHz SPI interface.

· It features a proprietary dithering algorithm to reduce idle tones and improve THD, with 24-bit ADC data words and six 24-bit writable control registers.

· Simplified communication is achieved through Continuous Read modes and Data Ready pins for MCU interfacing.

· Compatible with various sensors like shunts, current transformers, Rogowski coils, and Hall-effect sensors.



FEATURES

· Six 16/24-bit Delta-Sigma ADCs with 91 dB SINAD, -100 dBc THD, and 102 dB SFDR per channel.

· Programmable data rate up to 64 ksps, ultra-low power shutdown mode (<2 μA), and -115 dB crosstalk.

· Low drift internal voltage reference (5 ppm/°C), differential voltage reference inputs, and high gain PGA (up to 32 V/V).

· Phase delay compensation with 1 μs resolution, high-speed 10 MHz SPI interface, and independent analog/digital power supplies (4.5V-5.5V AVDD, 2.7V-3.6V DVDD).

· Available in a 28-lead SSOP package with an extended temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
